Kobayashi Pharmaceutical, since its founding in 1886, has been expanding by positioning OTC drugs wholesale as its core business and introducing new business methods ahead of their time. Today, we have grown into a conglomerate composed of two business areas; manufacturing and marketing OTC drugs and deodorizing air fresheners, oral and sundry hygiene products; and medical related businesses, including importing and marketing cutting edge medical equipment.
Our corporate policy, "Creation and Innovation", has never changed since our foundation. With a corporate culture based on Creation and Innovation, we endeavor to practice "something new, something different" everyday, and have established an unchallengeable position in our respective industries. In the future, we will continue to exercise this spirit, and will move on to create new markets.
Today, the Japanese market faces increasing global competition. In response, Kobayashi Pharmaceutical has created three central themes in its Management Policy. The first is an aggressive development of new products, new services and new systems to create new markets. The second is the promotion of globalization, aggressively developing businesses in the US, UK, China and other overseas markets. The third is management of a company where every employee participates completely, and every cell in the company is fully active. A thorough implementation of these three management policies will be the key to carrying us on to the next stage.
