Kobayashi Pharmaceutical develops its business overseas in two areas,
the home healthcare business, and the medical devices business.
For the home healthcare business, Kobayashi operates a manufacturing
base in Shanghai, and markets air deodorizing fresheners, analgetics and personal care products, such as the "kairo" air-activated heat packs and cooling gel sheet, in the Asian market (mainly
Shanghai, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan), the UK and in the US.
For the medical devices business, Kobayashi markets medical equipment in the US and has established a company that conducts research on medical devices, and imports medical devices into Japan. Kobayashi manufactures Urobag, a medical device, in Indonesia as well as in other production plants.
