Together with the Japanese wholesale medical supply industry drawn
up by founder Chubei Kobayashi and his successors Kichitaro and
Fusagoro, the concept of establishing a base as a leading manufacturer
is almost complete, and it may be said that Kobayashi Pharmaceutical
today has substantially overcome the challenges of the past 100
years.
Still, Kobayashi Pharmaceutical at present cannot be fully satisfied
with just this 100-year history. Kobayashi Pharmaceutical constantly
hungers for more and has never forgotten the competitive spirit
inherent in that history.
This 100-year history clearly shows us that the glories of the
past were not necessarily error-free. At such times when mistakes
are discovered, the employees of Kobayashi Pharmaceutical strive
to conquer them with all their might.
As such, can it not be said that the elements that led to these
errors have been completely overcome? Furthermore, in looking back
upon the past, it is clear that the present has progressed by leaps
and bounds compared to any other period in our history. But can
we say this is enough?
Moreover, are Kobayashi's present achievements gained through the
exercise of the total power of our many employees (including those
of our affiliates) such that there is nothing more to hope for?
Such questions are not to be asked by facing the past. The past
is only the past, however glorious. Only by employing the lessons
learned from the years and months that have passed us by can we
understand their value.
Simply put, there are 100 years of history that should be studied
at Kobayashi Pharmaceutical. There is a huge treasure trove of precious
teachings in the years of the past. Drawing something from within
is a "privilege" granted only to Kobayashi Pharmaceutical
and its many employees with their 100-year history.
Whether this history, common to all Kobayashi employees, is used
efficiently and effectively or whether it is discarded as useless
has already begun to take hold in earnest in the conscience of each
and every employee at Kobayashi Pharmaceutical.
