Business Operations and Consumer Product Operations are the two pillars of Kobayashi Pharmaceutical. Both have contributed to the company’s development through mutual emulation, hard work, and mutual compensation.
Both operations are common to the requirements of marketing. In tough, competitive markets, there can be no business without marketing. In addition to an appetite for challenge, sense of purpose, and effort, one cannot survive without modern marketing.
First, determine the objective that should be achieved.Next, consider every option to achieve that objective.Determine which options are generally the most effective and, lastly, choose one of them.An employee who can perform this process without error is a professional.A professional employee is also a professional marketing man.
All this is what has been come to be known as the “Kobayashi Man Principle” announced in September 1985.
||The Kobayashi Man puts all his energy into his work with sincerity, effort, and purpose.
||The Kobayashi Man always considers breaking up the status quo and facing new challenges.
||The Kobayashi Man devotes himself to increasing efficiency, rationalization, and cutting costs in order to make a profit.
||The Kobayashi Man is focused most on simplicity, clarity, and speed.
||The Kobayashi Man loves his customers, loves his work, and loves his company.
The directors for the Business Operations Headquarters and Consumer Product Operations Headquarters have both already independently expressed the future strategy for Business Operations and Consumer Product Operations.I am fortunate in that these two directors, along with many people on their respective staffs, fully understand my way of thinking.
And Kobayashi Pharmaceutical will continue to aim its sights on corporate expansion in the future. At corporate headquarters, many projects are already standing by just waiting for the start gun.
Considering such conditions, I would like to implement a large-scale transfer of authority in the near future. The determination of a management strategy will be the responsibility of the executive staff council.Determining the means and steps to realize that strategy will be left to the managers and supervisors, starting with the Director of the Business Operations Headquarters.Managers should also delegate much of their authority to their subordinates.
