Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is also vigorously engaged in the medical device business with the corporate motto: to provide people and society with excellent "goods and services." The Medical Devices Operation has a longer history than the public believes. Since the establishment of Japan Medico, Inc. (presently Medicon, Inc.) in June 1972, this Business has grown to become the third central pillar of the Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Group along with Consumer Products and Wholesale Operations.
The Medical Devices Operation in Japan consists of two players: Medicon, Inc., a joint corporation with C. R. Bard of the US, and Kobayashi Medical Co., Ltd.

It introduces and markets high quality medical devices from all over the world in Japan. In 2003, its trading function was expanded and a product development center was established. We are actively working on the development and refinement of products that meet customers' needs and are making every effort to improve our corporate brands. |
